Function

Energy-transfer acceptor. Its role is to transduce the blue chemiluminescence of the protein aequorin into green fluorescent light by energy transfer. Fluoresces in vivo upon receiving energy from the Ca(2+)-activated photoprotein aequorin.

    Western blot - Anti-GFP antibody (ab307276)

GFP Western blot staining using rabbit Anti-GFP antibody

CHO cells were transfected with pcDNA3-GFP (CHO-GFP). The whole cell lysates were loaded as 2ug and 0.2ug per lane then incubated with Rabbit-anti GFP (ab307276) at 1/10000 dilution (0.1ug/ml) for 1 hour at room temperature and followed with Goat anti-Rabbit HRP conjugated secondary at 1/10000 dilution (0.1ug/ml) incubation at 1 hour at room temperature.

All lanes: Western blot - Anti-GFP antibody (ab307276) at 1/10000 dilution

Lane 1: CHO cells transfected with pcDNA3-GFP (CHO-GFP) at 2 µg

Lane 2: CHO cells transfected with pcDNA3-GFP (CHO-GFP) at 0.2 µg

    Secondary

All lanes: Goat anti-Rabbit HRP conjugated secondary at 1/10000 dilution

    Observed band size: 28 kDa

    Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-GFP antibody (ab307276)

Immunofluorescent analysis of 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) - fixed, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton-X-100 in CHO cells transfected with GFP constructs (CHO-GFP) labelling GFP with ab307276 at 1/100 dilution (10ug/ml), followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L), Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated secondary antibody at 1/400 dilution (5 ug/ml) (Red). Images show GFP (Green), and nucleaer counterstain with DAPI (Blue). Bottom panel images show parallel staining in parental CHO cell line.
