GRO gamma also known as GCP-2 or CXCL3 is a chemokine with a mass of approximately 8 kDa. It is involved in the chemotactic activity attracting neutrophils to sites of inflammation. The protein is found mainly in various tissues like the liver lungs and kidneys where it plays central roles in immune response. GRO gamma interacts with chemokine receptors such as CXCR1 and CXCR2 which are key in transmitting signals that mediate cellular responses.
Biological function summary

GRO gamma plays a significant role in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses. It is not a part of any larger protein complexes operating independently to exert its effects.
