Target data

Function

Conjugation of reduced glutathione to a wide number of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles. GST isoenzymes appear to play a central role in the parasite detoxification system. Other functions are also suspected including a role in increasing the solubility of haematin in the parasite gut.

    Western blot - Anti-GST Tag antibody (ab307274)

CHO cells were transfected with pcDNA3-12 Tags (CHO-12 Tag). The 10ug whole cell lysates of CHO-12 Tag, and CHO were loaded then incubated with Goat-anti GST (ab307274) at 1/2000 dilution (0.5ug/ml) for 1 hour at room temperature and followed with Sheep anti-goat HRP conjugated secondary at 1/5000 dilution (0.2ug/ml) incubation at 1 hour at room temperature.

All lanes: Western blot - Anti-GST Tag antibody (ab307274) at 1/2000 dilution

Lane 1: CHO cells transfected with pcDNA3-12 Tags (CHO-12 Tag) whole cell lysate at 10 µg

Lane 2: Untransfected CHO cells whole cell lysate at 10 µg

    Secondary

All lanes: Sheep anti-goat HRP conjugated secondary at 1/5000 dilution

    Observed band size: 49 kDa

    Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-GST Tag antibody (ab307274)

Immunofluorescent analysis of 4% paraformaldehyde (PFA) - fixed, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton-X-100 in CHO cells transfected with 12-tags constructs (named as CHO-12 tags) labelling GST with ab307274 at 1/2000 dilution (0.5ug/ml), followed by a Donkey Anti-Rabbit IgG (H&L), FITC conjugated secondary antibody at 1/2000 dilution (0.5 ug/ml) (Green). Nucleus was counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Bottom panel images show parallel staining in parental CHO cell line.
