Product details

ab232491 is the carrier-free version of ab154841.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Supplementary information

This supplementary information is collated from multiple sources and compiled automatically.

GUCY1B3 also known as guanylate cyclase soluble subunit beta-1 serves as a subunit of the soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) complex. This protein acts in converting GTP to cGMP which plays an important role in intracellular signaling. GUCY1B3 has a molecular mass of approximately 70 kDa. The expression of GUCY1B3 occurs in a variety of tissues with higher levels observed in smooth muscle cells and neurons.
Biological function summary

The GUCY1B3 protein functions as part of the soluble guanylate cyclase complex which directly responds to nitric oxide (NO) signaling. This NO binding leads to the production of cyclic GMP a secondary messenger involved in numerous biological responses. These responses include vasodilation and neurotransmission. GUCY1B3's activity regulates essential cellular processes through these mechanisms.

Pathways

The sGC complex involving GUCY1B3 participates in the nitric oxide signaling pathway which is significant for cardiovascular function. Additionally GUCY1B3 works alongside GUCY1A3 another subunit of the sGC complex to facilitate this signaling cascade. The resulting cGMP acts in downstream pathways like the cGMP-dependent protein kinase G (PKG) pathway which controls vascular tone and cardiac function.

GUCY1B3 plays a role in complications such as hypertension and pulmonary hypertension. Disruption in NO signaling involving GUCY1B3 can result in impaired vasodilation contributing to these conditions. Moreover alterations in the function of GUCY1A3 the partner in the sGC complex can affect the same pathways further implicating GUCY1B3 in the pathology of cardiovascular disorders.
