ChIP - Anti-Histone H3 (di methyl K36) antibody (AB272158)

Chromatin Immunoprecipitation with ab272158. Chromatin from one million formaldehyde cross-linked Hela cells was used with 2 μg of ab272158 and 20 μl of magnetic IgG beads per immunoprecipitation. A "no antibody" (No Ab) control was also used. Immunoprecipitated DNA was quantified using quantitative real-time PCR and SYBR green dye, then normalized to the non-precipitated input chromatin, which is equal to one.

Target data

Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.
