Function

Acts as a negative regulator of the proliferation of normal cells by interacting strongly with CDK4 and CDK6. This inhibits their ability to interact with cyclins D and to phosphorylate the retinoblastoma protein.

    Western blot - HRP Anti-CDKN2A/p19ARF antibody [5-C3] (ab202225)

This blot was produced using a 4-12% Bis-tris gel under the MES buffer system. The gel was run at 200V for 35 minutes before being transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane at 30V for 70 minutes. The membrane was then blocked for an hour using 3% milk before being incubated with ab202225 overnight at 4°C. Antibody binding was visualised using ECL development solution ECL Substrate Kit (High Sensitivity) ab133406.

All lanes: Western blot - HRP Anti-CDKN2A/p19ARF antibody [5-C3] (ab202225) at 1/5000 dilution

All lanes: MEF1 (Mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line) Whole Cell Lysate at 10 µg

    Developed using the ECL technique.

    Performed under reducing conditions.

    Predicted band size: 18 kDa

    Observed band size: 19 kDa

    Exposure time: 8min
