Western blot - Anti-IL-13 receptor alpha 2 antibody [EPR29921-543] - BSA and Azide free (AB325959)

This data was developed using ab322898, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.

Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST.
ab181602 was used as a GAPDH loading control at a 1/200000 dilution.

In Western blot ab322898 was shown to bind specifically to IL-13 receptor alpha 2. Band of interest was observed at 50-60 kDa in wild-type A375 cell lysate (lane 1) with no signal observed at this size in IL13RA2 knockout A375 cell lysate (lane 2) (lane 2 knockout cell line ab273381 / knockout cell lysate ab275532).

The molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID : 30718742).

Product details

ab325959 is the carrier-free version of ab322898

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Target data

Cell surface receptor that plays a role in the regulation of IL-13-mediated responses (PubMed : 11861389, PubMed : 17030238). Functions as a decoy receptor that inhibits IL-13- and IL-4-mediated signal transduction via the JAK-STAT pathway and thereby modulates immune responses and inflammation (PubMed : 11861389, PubMed : 17030238). Serves as a functional signaling receptor for IL-13 in an alternative pathway involving AP-1 ultimately leading to the production of TGFB1 (PubMed : 16327802).
