Western blot - Anti-KACL antibody [EPR27403-26] (AB309102)
Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST. C-type lectin domain family 2 member A is a glycoprotein of approximately 32 kDa and detected as a 20 kDa band after treated with Protein Deglycosylation MIX II. The expression molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID : 25510854).
All lanes:

Biological function summary
This protein plays an important role in maintaining cellular architecture. It forms complexes with actin filaments which provide essential support for maintaining cell integrity. These complexes are critical for processes like cell division and intracellular transport. Additionally KACL contributes to cellular signaling pathways which regulate responses to external signals and environmental changes. By forming these complexes the protein helps coordinate cellular functions fundamental for physiological performance.
Pathways
KACL integrates into several important signaling cascades such as the Rho family GTPase pathway and the Wnt signaling pathway. In the Rho pathway it interacts with proteins like RhoA and Rac1 facilitating cytoskeletal rearrangements and cell movement. In the Wnt pathway KACL indirectly influences gene expression and cellular proliferation. These interactions ensure that the protein plays a significant role in regulating cell behavior and development impacting both growth and differentiation processes.
