Activity summary

LIAT1 also known as Leukocyte Immunoglobulin-Like Receptor 1 is a protein weighing approximately 45 kDa. LIAT1 plays a role in immune regulation and signal transduction. Researchers have found it expressed on the surface of various immune cells including B cells T cells and natural killer cells. The protein functions mechanically by interacting with other receptor proteins on cell membranes to modulate immune responses.

Biological function summary

LIAT1 participates in the fine-tuning of immune cell activity. It forms part of a receptor complex that transmits signals which can either activate or inhibit immune cell responses. These interactions contribute to the regulation of immune tolerance and the prevention of autoimmune attacks on healthy tissue.
