MAGEB2 or Melanoma Antigen Family B2 is part of the MAGEB family of proteins. It is a protein of about 32 kDa often known for its role in immunity and cancer biology. MAGEB2 expresses mainly in brain tissue and some cancers. Its presence in cancer types like melanoma makes it a significant subject for studies exploring tumor antigens and potential therapeutic targets.
This protein involves itself in complex molecular interactions. MAGEB2 does not function alone; it associates with other proteins to regulate cellular processes such as apoptosis and cell cycle control. Its expression in specific tissues suggests roles in tissue-specific functions that are still the subject of research.
