Phosphorylates the microtubule-associated protein MAPT/TAU (PubMed : 23666762). Involved in cell polarity by phosphorylating the microtubule-associated proteins MAP2, MAP4 and MAPT/TAU at KXGS motifs, causing detachment from microtubules, and their disassembly.
