Biological function summary
The involvement of this protein in ribosomal RNA (rRNA) processing is significant. MPP10 is a part of the U3 small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein (snoRNP) complex essential for early cleavages of the pre-rRNA. This function helps initiate the maturation of the 18S rRNA which is a component of the small ribosomal subunit.
