ab244762 is a BSA and Azide Free antibody supplied in an unconjugated format and it is suitable for sandwich ELISAs to quantify Mouse NBL1. The recommended pair for sandwich ELISA is:
Capture: ab244762, Mouse NBL1 Capture Antibody (unconjugated)
Detector: Anti-NBL1 antibody [EPR18372-106] - BSA and Azide free (Detector) ab245033, Mouse NBL1 Detector Antibody (unconjugated)
The reference range value is 62.5 - 4000 pg/ml.
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. The carrier-free buffer and high concentration allow for increased conjugation efficiency.
This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
The recommended antibody orientation is based on internal optimization for ELISA-based assays. Antibody orientation is assay dependent and needs to be optimized for each assay type. Please note that the range provided for this antibody is only an estimation based on the performance of the product using the recommended antibody pair. Performance of the antibody pair will depend on the specific characteristics of your assay. We guarantee the product works in sandwich ELISA, but we do not guarantee the sensitivity or dynamic range of the antibody in your assay.
NBL1 also known as DAN domain family member 1 is a protein with a molecular weight of approximately 20 kDa. It is found in various tissues but shows higher expression levels in the nervous tissue and skeletal muscle. Mechanically NBL1 acts as a modulator in cell signaling pathways by binding to specific growth factors such as BMPs (Bone Morphogenetic Proteins) inhibiting their functions and affecting cell differentiation and growth.
NBL1 plays an inhibitory role in bone morphogenesis by interacting with BMPs which are part of the TGF-beta superfamily. NBL1 can form complexes with these growth factors thereby regulating processes related to bone and cartilage development. This protein is essential for maintaining cellular processes involved in tissue homeostasis and suppressing unchecked cellular proliferation.
NBL1 involves itself in the BMP signaling pathway where it directly impacts the regulation of bone and cartilage development. It is associated with other proteins like Noggin and Chordin both of which also modulate BMP activity highlighting its importance in balancing cell growth and differentiation signals. The involvement of NBL1 in the TGF-beta/BMP pathway is critical for embryonic development and the regulation of body patterning.
NBL1 has been linked to conditions such as osteoarthritis and certain cancer types. Its inhibitory effect on BMPs associates it with osteoarthritis where altered BMP signaling contributes to cartilage degradation. In cancer where BMP activity can be dysregulated NBL1's role in inhibiting BMP pathways places it in connection to tumor suppressors like SMAD proteins emphasizing its potential relevance in tumorigenesis and metastasis.
