Immunoprecipitation - Anti-NOR1/TEC antibody [EPR26986-37] (AB313781)
NOR1/TEC was immunoprecipitated from 0.35 mg Hela (human cervical adenocarcinoma epithelial cell) whole cell lysate with ab313781 at 1/30 dilution (2ug in 0.35mg lysates). Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab313781 at 1/1000 dilution. VeriBlot for IP secondary antibody (HRP) (ab131366) was used at 1/5000 dilution. Lane 1 : Hela (human cervical adenocarcinoma epithelial cell) whole cell lysate Lane 2 : ab313781 IP in Hela (human cervical adenocarcinoma epithelial cell) whole cell lysate Lane 3 : Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) instead of ab313781 in Hela whole cell lysate Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST. Exposure time : 180 seconds
All lanes:

Biological function summary
NOR1 functions as an important regulator of gene transcription involved in cellular growth differentiation and metabolism. NOR1 is part of the nuclear receptor superfamily but unlike many nuclear receptors it does not have a defined hormone ligand. The protein often works alone or may associate with other nuclear receptors or transcription factors to modulate target genes. Research indicates its involvement in important cellular processes like the inflammatory response and apoptosis.
Pathways
NOR1 plays a significant role in the regulation of the MAPK signaling pathway and the T-cell receptor signaling pathway. Within these pathways it interacts with other nuclear receptors and transcription factors such as its family members NR4A1 and NR4A2. These interactions influence cell survival proliferation and immune responses. NOR1 can modulate the expression of various genes thereby linking it to complex cellular networking and pathway modulation.
