We have systematically measured KD (the equilibrium dissociation constant between the antibody and its antigen), of more than 840 recombinant antibodies to assess not only their individual KD values but also to see the average affinity of antibody. Based on the comparison with published literature values for mouse monoclonal antibodies, Recombinant antibodies appear to be on average 1-2 order of magnitude higher affinity.

Product details

ab248379 is the carrier-free version of ab131219.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

PDRG1 also known as p53 and DNA damage-regulated gene 1 is a protein with a mass of approximately 31 kilodaltons. It functions mechanically by influencing cell survival and proliferation processes. PDRG1 has a role in cellular response to stress with its expression prominently observed in testis tissues. Researchers have noted this protein's regulation under stress conditions indicating its involvement in maintaining cellular homeostasis.
Biological function summary

PDRG1 interacts with several proteins to carry out its functions potentially forming part of protein complexes influencing DNA repair mechanisms. It participates in cellular protection against genotoxic stress ensuring genome integrity. The protein's presence in testis suggests a role in germ cell development and the maintenance of reproductive health. This emphasizes its importance in the cellular systems governing DNA maintenance.

Pathways

PDRG1 plays a role in DNA damage response pathways specifically in the p53 signaling network. It interfaces with proteins such as p53 and those involved in apoptosis linking it to cellular death and survival pathways during stress. PDRG1's interaction with p53 suggests its close involvement in pathways that control cell cycle arrest and repair following DNA damage therefore participating in decision-making processes of cellular fate.

PDRG1 links to cancer development and progression through its modulation of the p53 network. Altered expression of PDRG1 associates with tumorigenesis particularly in testicular cancer where its dysregulation may disrupt normal cell cycle control. In relation to Alzheimer’s disease studies have suggested a potential involvement of PDRG1 with proteins like tau impacting neurodegenerative processes. Therefore PDRG1 plays a significant role in cellular dysfunctions seen in cancer and neurodegeneration.
