Product details

ab250227 is the carrier-free version of ab180577.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Supplementary information

The protein PH3 also known as phospho-Histone H3 (Ser10) plays an important role in cellular division processes. This protein is characterized by its molecular weight and is highly expressed during mitosis particularly in the chromatin of dividing cells. Researchers often refer to PH3 in scientific literature by its molecular mass or specific markers associated with it. The expression of PH3 is typically detected in actively dividing tissues making it a useful tool for identifying proliferation rates in various tissues.
Biological function summary

PH3 is involved in chromatin remodeling during mitosis. It is not part of a larger complex but instead operates as a marker for chromosome condensation. When PH3 undergoes phosphorylation it indicates the cell has entered mitosis. This action facilitates chromosome condensation and segregation critical for proper mitotic progression. Studies often note PH3's significant role during the G2/M transition phase.

Pathways

PH3 operates within vital mitotic and cell cycle regulation pathways. It is closely associated with the CDK1/cyclin B complex which plays an essential part in mitotic initiation. During the cell cycle its phosphorylation state serves as an indicator of mitotic activity. Additionally other proteins such as Aurora B kinase influence PH3's activity further integrating it into the regulatory network controlling cell division.

Increased PH3 expression correlates with various cancers such as breast cancer and melanoma. This overexpression often results from dysregulation of normal cell cycle mechanisms where PH3's activity becomes abnormally high. Oncological studies link PH3 with other proteins such as p53 where mutations can influence the transition from normal cell activity to oncogenesis impacting disease progression and prognosis.

Target data

Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and modification of histones; it mediates monoubiquitination of histone H2A 'Lys-119', rendering chromatin heritably changed in its expressibility.
