Receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) (PubMed:10617617). S1P is a bioactive lysophospholipid that elicits diverse physiological effects on most types of cells and tissues (PubMed:10617617). When expressed in rat HTC4 hepatoma cells, is capable of mediating S1P-induced cell proliferation and suppression of apoptosis (PubMed:10617617). Receptor for the chemokine-like protein FAM19A5 (PubMed:29453251). Mediates the inhibitory effect of FAM19A5 on vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and migration (By similarity).

Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. The carrier-free buffer and high concentration allow for increased conjugation efficiency.
This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

S1PR2 also known as Sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 2 is a G protein-coupled receptor with a mass of approximately 38 kDa. This receptor plays a role in cell signaling by binding to its ligand sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) which leads to various intracellular responses. S1PR2 is expressed in various tissues including the brain heart and immune cells where it affects physiological processes like cell proliferation migration and vascular stability.
The receptor S1PR2 modulates the immune system and vascular function. It does not work alone but interacts with other S1P receptors to regulate the immune response and vascular tone. In immune cells S1PR2 influences cell movement and adhesion impacting mechanisms such as lymphocyte trafficking and immune modulation.
S1PR2 is an important part of the sphingosine-1-phosphate signaling pathway. This pathway affects vascular and immune functions by interacting with downstream signaling molecules like Rho and Rac. S1PR2 also connects with other S1P receptors like S1PR1 and S1PR3 forming a network that controls cell motility and vascular health.
S1PR2 has implications in conditions like cancer and multiple sclerosis. In cancer S1PR2 affects tumor growth and metastasis through signaling pathways that control cell migration and angiogenesis. Its interaction with proteins like RhoA may contribute to cancer progression. In multiple sclerosis S1PR2 influences immune cell infiltration in the central nervous system adding complexity to immune-related disease mechanisms.

This data was developed using Anti-S1PR2 antibody [EPR27141-13] ab306562, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration: 5% NFDM/TBST.
Low expression: HeLa, LoVo, HUVEC (PMID: 32088343, PMID: 15618544).
This blot was developed using a high sensitivity ECL substrate. The high-sensitivity ECL substrate used allows for the detection of proteins in the mid-femtogram range.
