Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-SLAM / CD150 antibody [EPR22904-135] (AB228978)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse bone marrow tissue labeling SLAM /CD150 with ab228978 at 1/500 dilution, followed by ready to use Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB (ab209101). The section was incubated with ab228978 for 15 mins at RT. The immunostaining was performed on a Leica Biosystems BOND® RX instrument. Positive staining on megakaryocytes in mouse bone marrow (PMID : 15989959) is observed. Counter stained with hematoxylin.
Secondary antibody only control : Used PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB (ab209101).
Heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0, epitope retrieval solution 2) for 20 mins.

SLAM/CD150 acts as a co-stimulatory molecule that augments the activation and proliferation of T and B cells. It participates in forming signaling complexes through interactions with SLAM-associated protein (SAP).
