Receptor for somatostatin-14. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which inhibits adenylyl cyclase. It is functionally coupled not only to inhibition of adenylate cyclase, but also to activation of both arachidonate release and mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase cascade. Mediates antiproliferative action of somatostatin in tumor cells.
Somatostatin receptor type 4, SS-4-R, SS4-R, SS4R, SST4, SSTR4

SSTR4 Western blot staining using rabbit Anti-SSTR4 antibody
Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration: 5% NFDM/TBST.
Negative control: colon, liver, lung, testis.
The expression profile/ molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID: 10804219, PMID: 34884783).
Samples are non-boiled as boiling may cause protein aggregation.
In Western blot, Anti-GAPDH antibody [EPR16891] - Loading Control (Anti-GAPDH antibody [EPR16891] - Loading Control ab181602) staining at 1/200000 dilution.
All lanes: Western blot - Anti-SSTR4 antibody [EPR29682-48] (ab324103) at 1/1000 dilution
Lane 1: Human striatum tissue lysate at 48 µg
Lane 2: Human colon tissue lysate at 48 µg
