Talin 2 also known as TLN2 is a large cytoskeletal protein approximately 270 kDa in mass. It acts mechanically as an important player in linking integrins to the actin cytoskeleton supporting the structural integrity of cells. Talin 2 is expressed in various tissues including muscle and neuronal systems with expression patterns similar to Talin 1 but has distinct roles in cellular adhesion and signal transduction.
