TM2D3 also known as BRI3BP is a transmembrane protein with a mass of approximately 37 kDa. It is expressed in various tissues including the brain heart and skeletal muscle. TM2D3 is embedded in cellular membranes and is thought to participate in molecular signaling. It interacts with other proteins through its transmembrane domains and contributes to signal transduction pathways.
TM2D3 has roles in cellular communication and regulation. It is part of a protein complex involved in modulating cellular responses to external stimuli. TM2D3 may affect processes such as cell adhesion and migration by interacting with other membrane proteins influencing cellular dynamics. Researchers continue to determine exact biological mechanisms due to its significant presence in critical tissues.
TM2D3 integrates into the Notch signaling pathway an important pathway for cell differentiation and proliferation. Its interaction with the Notch receptor and related components influences developmental processes.
