Flow cytometry analysis of Hela (human cervix adenocarcinoma) labeling TNS4/CTEN with purified ab99887 (red). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilised with 90% methanol. Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150077) was used as a secondary antibody. Isotype control -Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) (Black). Unlableled control -Unlabelled cells (blue).

Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of Human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue sections labeling TNS4/CTEN with Purified ab99887 at 1/100 dilution (0.92 µg/ml). Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed Heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0, epitope retrieval solution 1) for 20mins. Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB (ab209101) was used as the secondary antibody. Negative control : PBS instead of the primary antibody. Hematoxylin was used as a counterstain.

Target data

Promotes EGF-induced cell migration by displacing tensin TNS3 from the cytoplasmic tail of integrin ITGB1 which results in dissociation of TNS3 from focal adhesions, disassembly of actin stress fibers and initiation of cell migration (PubMed : 17643115). Suppresses ligand-induced degradation of EGFR by reducing EGFR ubiquitination in the presence of EGF (PubMed : 23774213). Increases MET protein stability by inhibiting MET endocytosis and subsequent lysosomal degradation which leads to increased cell survival, proliferation and migration (PubMed : 24814316).
