Product details

ab249806 is the carrier-free version of ab174303.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

TRNP1 also known as Ternary Complex Factor Small Nuclear Ribonucleic Protein 1 is a protein involved in DNA-binding activities. It has a mass of approximately 25 kDa. TRNP1 is expressed in various tissues most predominantly in the brain and neural tissues. It acts as a transcription factor binding to specific DNA sequences and influences the expression of genes involved in brain development and neural cell proliferation.
Biological function summary

TRNP1 regulates the proliferation and differentiation of neural progenitor cells. This protein does not appear to form part of a larger protein complex but it directly affects cellular processes that shape the growth and arrangement of the cerebral cortex during embryonic development. Its expression levels can control the cellular architecture influencing neural tube closure and cortical folding.

Pathways

TRNP1 plays a role in neural development pathways and interacts significantly with the Wnt signaling pathway. It regulates genes that are important for maintaining the balance between neural progenitor cell proliferation and differentiation. In this pathway TRNP1 may have an interaction with proteins like Wnt and β-catenin that control cellular growth decisions affecting brain size and function eventually.

Alterations in TRNP1 levels or function relate to disorders such as microcephaly and possibly certain neurodevelopmental dysplasias. It has been suggested that imbalances in TRNP1 activity can disrupt cortical development leading to abnormal brain development. While comprehensive studies are ongoing TRNP1 potentially interacts with proteins associated with these disorders marking its importance in neural developmental research.

Product protocols

For this product, it's our understanding that no specific protocols are required. You can visit:

Target data

DNA-binding factor that regulates the expression of a subset of genes and plays a key role in tangential, radial, and lateral expansion of the brain neocortex. Regulates neural stem cells proliferation and the production of intermediate neural progenitors and basal radial glial cells affecting the process of cerebral cortex gyrification. May control the proliferation rate of cells by regulating their progression through key cell-cycle transition points (By similarity).
