TTC19 facilitates the proper incorporation of the UQCRB subunit into complex III essential for the electron transport chain. It belongs to a multi-subunit complex within the inner mitochondrial membrane. This complex ensures optimal mitochondrial performance highlighting TTC19's role in cellular energy homeostasis.

TTC19 influences mitochondrial and oxidative phosphorylation pathways. These pathways are critical for ATP production in cell metabolism. TTC19 interacts with proteins such as UQCRC1 during the electron transport process.
