UNC45B also known as Unc-45 Myosin Chaperone B is a protein involved in the mechanistic processes of muscle contraction. It belongs to the UCS family and acts as a chaperone for myosin. This protein has a mass of approximately 103 kDa and is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle cardiac muscle and certain smooth muscle tissues. It is critical for proper folding and assembly of myosin a major component of muscle fibers.
