Immunoprecipitation - Anti-Viperin antibody [MaP.VIP] - BSA and Azide free (AB326612)

This data was developed using ab107359, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.

Viperin was immunoprecipitated from 0.35 mg KG-1a (human bone marrow myeloblast) whole cell lysate with ab107359 at 1/50 dilution (2μg in 0.35mg lysates). Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab107359 at 1/1000 dilution. mouse IgG for IP (HRP) (ab131368) was used at 1/5000 dilution.

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-Viperin antibody [MaP.VIP] - BSA and Azide free (AB326612)

This data was developed using ab107359, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.

Immunofluorescent analysis of 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed, 0.1% TritonX-100 permeabilized Raw 264.7 (mouse Abelson murine leukemia virus-induced tumor macrophage) cells labelling Viperin with ab107359 at 1/500 (1.966 μg/ml) dilution , followed by ab150113 Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) antibody at 1/1000 dilution (Green).

Confocal image showing cytoplasmic staining in Raw264.7 cells (shown in green) treated with 100 ng/ml LPS (lipopolysaccharides) and 100 U/ml IFN gamma for 4 hours. The counterstain was observed in magenta. Nuclear DNA was labelled with DAPI (shown in blue). Image was taken with a confocal microscope (Leica-Microsystems, TCS SP8).

ab202272 Recombinant Alexa Fluor® 594 Anti-alpha Tubulin antibody [EP1332Y] - Microtubule Marker (ab202272) was used to counterstain tubulin at 1/200 dilution (Magenta). The Nuclear counterstain was DAPI (Blue).

Secondary antibody only control : Secondary antibody is ab150113 Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) at 1/1000 dilution.

Product details

ab326612 is the carrier-free version of ab107359

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Want a custom formulation?
This antibody clone is manufactured by Abcam. If you require a custom buffer formulation or conjugation for your experiments, please contact orders@abcam.com

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Target data

Interferon-inducible antiviral protein which plays a major role in the cell antiviral state induced by type I and type II interferon (PubMed : 31812350). Catalyzes the conversion of cytidine triphosphate (CTP) to 3'-deoxy-3',4'-didehydro-CTP (ddhCTP) via a SAM-dependent radical mechanism (PubMed : 29925952, PubMed : 30872404). In turn, ddhCTP acts as a chain terminator for the RNA-dependent RNA polymerases from multiple viruses and directly inhibits viral replication (PubMed : 29925952). Therefore, inhibits a wide range of DNA and RNA viruses, including human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), west Nile virus (WNV), dengue virus, sindbis virus, influenza A virus, sendai virus, vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV), zika virus, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) (PubMed : 29925952, PubMed : 30587778, PubMed : 30934824, PubMed : 31921110). Also promotes TLR7 and TLR9-dependent production of IFN-beta production in plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) by facilitating 'Lys-63'-linked ubiquitination of IRAK1 by TRAF6 (PubMed : 30872404). Plays a role in CD4+ T-cells activation and differentiation. Facilitates T-cell receptor (TCR)-mediated GATA3 activation and optimal T-helper 2 (Th2) cytokine production by modulating NFKB1 and JUNB activities. Can inhibit secretion of soluble proteins.
