Is recognized by certain members of the integrin family and serves as a cell-to-substrate adhesion molecule. Inhibitor of the membrane-damaging effect of the terminal cytolytic complement pathway. Somatomedin-B is a growth hormone-dependent serum factor with protease-inhibiting activity.

Vitronectin/S-Protein was immunoprecipitated from 500 μg NIH/3T3 (Mouse embryo fibroblast cell line) whole cell lysate with ab235987.
Lane 1: Rabbit control IgG IP in NIH/3T3 whole cell lysate.
Lane 2: ab235987 IP in NIH/3T3 whole cell lysate.
Lane 3: NIH/3T3 whole cell lysate 10 μg (Input).
For western blotting, an HRP-conjugated Protein G antibody was used as the secondary antibody at 1/2000 dilution.
