4% formaldehyde-fixed SK-N-BE (human neuroblastoma cell line) cells labeling VPS15 (green) using ab240914 at 1/100 dilution in ICC/IF, followed by a goat anti-rabbit ATTO 488 conjugated secondary antibody at 1/200 dilution. Both primary and secondary antibodies were incubated for 1 hour at RT. Counterstained with Phalloidin Texas Red F-Actin stain (red) at 1/1000 for 1 hour at RT. The nuclear counterstain in DAPI (blue) at 1/5000 for 5 minutes at RT.

Target data

Regulatory subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate; different complex forms are believed to play a role in multiple membrane trafficking pathways : PI3KC3-C1 is involved in initiation of autophagosomes and PI3KC3-C2 in maturation of autophagosomes and endocytosis. Involved in regulation of degradative endocytic trafficking and cytokinesis, probably in the context of PI3KC3-C2 (PubMed : 20643123).
