Western blot - Anti-Zika virus NS1 protein antibody [GT5212] - BSA and Azide free (AB308409)
Non-transfected (–) and transfected (+) HEK293T whole cell lysis (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with Zika virus NS1 protein antibody [GT5212] (ab308409) diluted at 1/1000. A HRP-conjugated anti-mouse IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Biological function summary
Zika Virus NS1 plays essential roles in immune system evasion and viral replication. NS1 influences the viral pathogenesis through interactions with host immune responses helping the virus avoid recognition. This protein is part of the viral replication complex and contributes to the integrity of viral RNA. The ability of NS1 to modulate host cellular processes enhances the Zika virus's capacity to proliferate and survive within the host.
Pathways
Zika Virus NS1 is central in both evading immune defenses and assisting viral replication. It modulates innate immune pathways including interferon responses limiting host defenses. Through these pathways NS1 interacts with several proteins such as the Toll-like receptors which are critical for detecting viral infections. Additionally NS1 cooperates with other viral non-structural proteins to sustain efficient replication processes.
