Constituents: 80% PBS, 20% Glycerol (glycerin, glycerine)
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. The carrier-free buffer and high concentration allow for increased conjugation efficiency.
This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Zika Virus NS1 also called non-structural protein 1 plays an important role in the viral life cycle. This glycoprotein has an approximate mass of 46-55 kDa and is highly expressed in cells infected by the Zika virus. NS1 is secreted into the extracellular space and found in sera of infected individuals. It exists in different forms with distinct intracellular and extracellular implications displaying versatility in its function and critical role during infection.
Zika Virus NS1 plays essential roles in immune system evasion and viral replication. NS1 influences the viral pathogenesis through interactions with host immune responses helping the virus avoid recognition. This protein is part of the viral replication complex and contributes to the integrity of viral RNA. The ability of NS1 to modulate host cellular processes enhances the Zika virus's capacity to proliferate and survive within the host.
Zika Virus NS1 is central in both evading immune defenses and assisting viral replication. It modulates innate immune pathways including interferon responses limiting host defenses. Through these pathways NS1 interacts with several proteins such as the Toll-like receptors which are critical for detecting viral infections. Additionally NS1 cooperates with other viral non-structural proteins to sustain efficient replication processes.
Zika Virus NS1 is linked to congenital Zika syndrome and Guillain-Barré syndrome. NS1 presence in circulation associates with the virus's ability to traverse the placental barrier leading to severe outcomes like microcephaly in newborns. The interactions between NS1 and host proteins such as complement factors further impact the disease progression and severity complicating immune system responses during infection. Understanding NS1's role enhances our ability to diagnose prevent and treat Zika virus-related conditions.
