ab249172 is the carrier-free version of Anti-ZNF175 antibody [EPR8391(2)] ab155075.
Rat: We have preliminary internal testing data to indicate this antibody may not react with this species. Please contact us for more information.
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. The carrier-free buffer and high concentration allow for increased conjugation efficiency.
This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

ZNF175 also known as Zinc Finger Protein 175 is part of the Krüppel-type zinc finger protein family. It weighs around 56-58 kDa and functions as a transcription factor meaning it binds to specific DNA sequences to regulate the transcription of genetic information. ZNF175 is typically expressed in various tissues with higher expression observed in the brain and reproductive tissues. The zinc finger motifs in its structure allow ZNF175 to interact directly with DNA influencing the transcriptional activity of specific genes.
The protein's role centers around gene regulation and control of developmental processes. ZNF175 doesn't form elaborate complexes; instead it acts more independently or with few partners during transcriptional regulation. It can influence the expression of genes involved in cellular growth and differentiation impacting the cellular phenotype. The presence of multiple zinc fingers enhances its ability to target specific DNA sequences with high affinity affecting downstream gene expression in a targeted manner.
Researchers have found ZNF175 involved in the regulation of developmental and cellular proliferation pathways. Its activity impacts the Hedgehog signaling pathway an important regulator of embryogenesis and adult tissue homeostasis. ZNF175 may interact with proteins such as glioma-associated oncogene (GLI) transcription factors to modulate this pathway's output. The involvement of ZNF175 in these pathways highlights its significant influence in maintaining cellular communication and growth balance.
Changes in ZNF175 expression levels have connections to some neurodegenerative conditions. Aberrant expression of ZNF175 has a reported association with Alzheimer's disease possibly influencing genes that regulate neuronal survival and function. Additionally in the context of cancer altered ZNF175 expression might impact tumorigenesis through pathways linked to proteins such as GLI contributing to the uncontrolled cell proliferation characteristic of cancerous tissues. Understanding ZNF175's role in these diseases helps in developing targeted therapeutic approaches.
