ZNF24 also known as zinc finger protein 191 is a transcription factor with a molecular weight of approximately 55 kDa. It functions by binding to specific DNA sequences through its zinc finger domains thereby influencing the transcription of genes. The expression of ZNF24 occurs in various tissues including the liver lung and brain suggesting its role in multiple cellular processes. This protein plays a significant role in gene regulation due to its ability to bind DNA and modulate the expression of specific genes.
Biological function summary

Zinc finger protein 191 regulates cell proliferation differentiation and development. It does not typically form part of a larger protein complex acting mostly as a solitary transcription factor.
