ZNF471 also known as ERP1 is a zinc finger protein that plays a significant mechanical role in cellular processes. It has an approximate molecular weight of around 75 kDa. The protein is expressed in various tissues with a higher presence observed in epithelial tissues. As a zinc finger protein ZNF471 binds to DNA influencing transcriptional regulation. ZNF471/ERP1 is important in maintaining the integrity of gene expression by interacting with specific DNA sequences.
Biological function summary

This zinc finger protein regulates transcription factors and affects gene expression patterns. ZNF471/ERP1 does not exist as part of a larger protein complex allowing it to function more independently.
