The Collagen Hybridizing Peptide (CHP) is a synthetic peptide that can specifically bind to denatured collagen strands through hydrogen bonding, both in histology, in vivo, and in vitro (3D cell culture). Additionally, CHP can be used in several biochemical assays, such as SDS-PAGE staining, for identification and quantification of collagen content in a biological sample.
F-CHP is labeled with fluorescein for direct fluorescence detection.

Immunofluorescence - F-CHP Collagen Hybridizing Peptide - 5-FAM Conjugate - Scrambled Control (AB325717)
Immunofluorescence (IF) analysis of FFPE embedded Rat skin tissues labeled with ab325717 (green) at 20 uM. Tissues were deparaffinized following standard procedures before undergoing heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) to purposefully denature all collagen in the sample. This section was incubated over night at 37°C.
