GM-CSF also known as Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor is a glycoprotein with a mass of approximately 23 kDa. This protein plays a mechanical role in stimulating the differentiation and proliferation of hematopoietic progenitor cells into granulocytes and macrophages.
