Product details

Ensure the validity of your result using our recombinant Enhanced GFP protein (His tag) protein ab134853 as a control in SDS-PAGE.

The ab134853 protein can be used as negative control in any transcription factor protein intracellular delivery experiments.
Incubate the eGFP ab199750 protein in various culture mediums at 2µg/ ml concentration to monitoring intracellular protein delivery efficiency.

Function

The Recombinant Enhanced GFP (eGFP) protein ab134853 is second generation monomeric green fluorescent protein that has improved brightness and photostability.
This recombinant GFP protein was constructed with N-terminal tag of HA2 peptide for efficient endosomal release after intracellular protein delivery, and C-terminal 9 arginine domain / 6His Tag, which will efficiently delivery this recombinant protein intracellularly.

ab199750 have a single excitation peak at about 488 nm, with an emission peak wavelength of 509 nm.

General info

Function

Energy-transfer acceptor. Its role is to transduce the blue chemiluminescence of the protein aequorin into green fluorescent light by energy transfer. Fluoresces in vivo upon receiving energy from the Ca(2+)-activated photoprotein aequorin.

Sequence similarities

Belongs to the GFP family.

Post-translational modifications

Contains a chromophore consisting of modified amino acid residues. The chromophore is formed by autocatalytic backbone condensation between Ser-65 and Gly-67, and oxidation of Tyr-66 to didehydrotyrosine. Maturation of the chromophore requires nothing other than molecular oxygen.
