LACRT also known as Lacritin is a secreted glycoprotein with a molecular mass around 12-16 kDa. It is mainly expressed in the lacrimal glands and ocular surface tissues including the conjunctiva and corneal epithelium. Its presence is also identified in saliva and other secretions.
