Biological function summary
LEFTY2 functions as an important regulator in ensuring proper left-right asymmetry during embryonic development. It is a monomeric protein that is not part of a larger complex. LEFTY2 contributes to the modulation of Nodal signaling inhibiting excessive activity that can disrupt normal development. Pathways
