Sumo 2 also known as SUMO-2 or SMT3A is a small ubiquitin-like modifier protein with a molecular mass of approximately 11 kDa. It belongs to the SUMO protein family which includes SUMO-1 SUMO-3 and others. Sumo 2 is widely expressed in the nucleus and cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells.
