Streptavidin Gold Conjugate (20nm, 10 OD) (ab270029) is an aqueous suspension of 20 nm gold nanoparticles covalently bound with Streptavidin forming a highly stable conjugate.

- Binds with high affinity to biotinylated molecules
- Proprietary surface coating shields the metallic core of the nanoparticle from the external environment, eliminating colloidal instability
- Consistent high quality and batch-to-batch reproducibility
- Available in different formats to fit your experimental needs

Product details

Gold nanoparticles at Abcam have a proprietary surface coating that can withstand the most extreme conditions (e.g. 2.5 M NaOH at 70°C for 2 hours), making our Gold nanoparticles an ideal reagent for a wide range of applications.

Our Gold streptavidin conjugates share the stability attributes of the core nanoparticle. Furthermore, since the streptavidin is covalently bound to the surface coating of the gold nanoparticle it is unable to desorb, which is a major problem faced by competing products whereby the streptavidin is directly attached to the metal. Our Gold Streptavidin binds with high affinity to biotinylated molecules.

Notes:

This product is manufactured by Expedeon, an Abcam company. It was previously called 20nm InnovaCoat® GOLD (10 OD) Streptavidin Conjugate. Expedeon product code 251-0200 is the same as the 200 μL size of this product and code 251-1000 is the same as the 1 mL size.
