Antibody Purification Kit (Gold/Europium labelling) (ab204909) is designed to remove substances (e.g. BSA, glycine, tris, azide) from antibodies that interfere in conjugation/labeling reactions with nanoparticles.

- All reagents (including Protein A resin) are ready-to-use as supplied.
- 20-500 µg of antibody can be purified in each run.
- Compatible with our Gold-, Magnetic -, Latex- and Europium conjugation kit ranges.

Product details

Antibody Purification Kit - Nanoparticles (ab204909) removes common buffer constituents found in commercial antibodies (e.g. BSA, glycine, tris and azide) that decrease the efficiency of conjugation reactions with nanoparticles using our nanoparticle conjugation kits. ab204909 can also be used to purify antibodies from crude samples such as ascites fluid or serum. The antibody should ideally be in a volume of 100 - 500 μL. Up to 500 μg of antibody can be purified in each run.

The method involves capture of the antibody on Protein A Resin and removal of unwanted substances by a simple wash procedure, using a standard microfuge. The purified antibody is then eluted and neutralized.

Antibodies purified using the Antibody Purification Kit - Nanoparticles are fully compatible with our nanoparticle conjugation kits (Gold, Latex, Europium and Magnetic). To purify antibodies for use with our other antibody conjugation kits, we recommend using one of our other purification kits - view our selection guide.

For purifying mouse IgG, we recommend using Mouse Antibody Purification Kit - Nanoparticles ab204910.

This product is manufactured by Expedeon, an Abcam company, and has previously been called AbPure™ Protein A Purification System and GOLD antibody purification kit. 260-0005 is the same as the 1 test size. 260-0010 is the same as the 3 tests size.
