This Magnetic Separation Rack (ab286900) is used to capture and separate magnetic beads used in magnetic beads based purification techniques. The rack captures magnetic beads which may be bound to DNA, viruses or cells in tubes. The biomolecules or cells are eluted and concentrated from the magnetic beads using appropriate buffers for downstream applications. The Magnetic Rack uses permanent magnets and has a compact design to accommodate different sizes of tubes including twelve 1.5 ml tubes, two 15 ml tubes and two 50 ml tubes.

The Magnetic rack should be handled with care. It should be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent or 70% ethanol. It should not be autoclaved. Avoid direct contact of rack with magnetic materials. Pacemakers, implants, watches, electronic devices, all ferrous material and magnetic media should be kept away from the magnetic rack.
