Fluorescamine Protein Assay Kit (Fluorimetric) (ab324117) provides a simple 96-well or 384-well plate assay method for quantifying protein concentration in solutions.

Fluorescamine protein assay principle
In the fluorescamine protein assay, the non-fluorescent fluorescamine reacts with amine groups in proteins to form a blue-green fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 380/470 nm). The intensity of the fluorescence directly correlates with the protein concentration. Readout is with a fluorometric plate reader.

BSA (bovine serum albumin) is used to create a standard curve.

As little as 3 ug/mL of BSA can be detected.
