Donkey Anti-Rat IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 405) is a preadsorbed secondary antibody with a maximum absorption wavelength of 401nm and a maximum emission wavelength of 421nm. Ideal for fluorescent cell and tissue imaging. Suitable for IHC, ICC/IF, Flow Cytometry and ELISA.

- Preadsorbed to prevent cross-reactivity and reduce background staining
- Intense fluorescence and high photostability allowing more time for image capture especially when detecting low abundance targets
- Minimal spectral overlap with other Alexa Fluor® dyes makes this ideal for use in multi-color analysis
- Cited in over 10 publications

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Donkey Anti-Rat IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 405) preadsorbed (AB175670)

ICC/IF image of ab6160 stained HeLa cells. The cells were 100% methanol fixed (5 min) and then incubated in 1%BSA / 10% normal donkey serum / 0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1h to permeabilise the cells and block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab6160, 2μg/ml) overnight at +4°C. The secondary antibody (blue) was ab175670 Alexa Fluor® 405 Donkey polyclonal Secondary Antibody to Rat IgG - H&L pre-adsorbed, used at 1μg/ml for 1h. DRAQ5™ (ab108410) was used to stain the cell nuclei (red) at a concentration of 1.25μM.

The negative control (inset) is a secondary-only assay to demonstrate low non-specific binding of the secondary antibody.
