ACP1
Function
Acts on tyrosine phosphorylated proteins, low-MW aryl phosphates and natural and synthetic acyl phosphates with differences in substrate specificity between isoform 1 and isoform 2.
Isoform 3
Does not possess phosphatase activity.
Post-translational modifications
Isoform 2
Phosphorylated by LCK (PubMed:10336608, PubMed:9038134). Phosphorylation at Tyr-132 increases its phosphatase activity (PubMed:9038134).
Isoform 3
Not phosphorylated.
Sequence Similarities
Belongs to the low molecular weight phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase family.
Tissue Specificity
Isoform 2
Expressed in T-lymphocytes.
Cellular localization
- Cytoplasm
Alternative names
Low molecular weight phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase, LMW-PTP, LMW-PTPase, Adipocyte acid phosphatase, Low molecular weight cytosolic acid phosphatase, Red cell acid phosphatase 1, ACP1
