Clec3b
Developmental stage
Highly expressed in the developing retina, at least since 13.5 dpc. Expression decreases afterwards and peaks again at postnatal day 14, and remains constantly expressed in the retina until adulthood.
Function
Tetranectin binds to plasminogen and to isolated kringle 4. May be involved in the packaging of molecules destined for exocytosis (By similarity). Plays a role in retinal function (By similarity).
Tissue Specificity
Highest expression in lung, skeletal muscle and heart (PubMed:7835708, PubMed:8563165). Expressed in retina (PubMed:35331648).
Cellular localization
- Secreted
