Colq
Domain
The proline-rich attachment domain (PRAD) binds the AChE catalytic subunits.
Function
Anchors the catalytic subunits of asymmetric AChE to the synaptic basal lamina.
Post-translational modifications
The triple-helical tail is stabilized by disulfide bonds at each end.
Sequence Similarities
Belongs to the COLQ family.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, brain, as well as in lung, spleen, testis, but not liver. The short isoform represents about 5% of the transcripts in the soleus muscle and about 15% in the heart ventricle.
Cellular localization
- Synapse
