Ig delta chain C region secreted form
Tissue Specificity
Cell lines producing IgD contain several mRNA species for Ig delta chains. In plasmacytomas, the secreted form is the major component, and the membrane-bound form is a minor component. In spleen, however, the membrane-bound form is the major component. These two forms differ in their C-terminal segments.
