Lpar3
Function
Receptor for lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), a mediator of diverse cellular activities. Seems to be coupled to the G(i)/G(o) and G(q) families of heteromeric G proteins.
Sequence Similarities
Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
Tissue Specificity
Most abundantly expressed in testes, kidney, and lung, with moderate levels in small intestine, and low levels in heart, stomach, spleen, and adult and perinatal brain. Little or no expression in embryonic brain, liver, or thymus.
Cellular localization
- Cell membrane
- Multi-pass membrane protein
