Function
Possesses similar cytotoxic and cytostimulatory activities to PRG2/MBP. In vitro, stimulates neutrophil superoxide production and IL8 release, and histamine and leukotriene C4 release from basophils.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in bone marrow. Not detected in placenta.
