Proteolytically cleaved in vitro in a calmodulin-dependent manner.

Belongs to the TRAFAC class TrmE-Era-EngA-EngB-Septin-like GTPase superfamily. Septin GTPase family.

Widely expressed. Abundantly expressed in heart and kidney, placenta, skeletal muscles, liver and lung, as well as various tumor cell lines.
